The statue features the fearless face of Lord Shiva with his eyes closed in meditation. His serene expression is framed by a crown depicting artistic excellence. In this statue Lord Shiva is seen in his dancing posture which is shown as the origin of all types of movement within the cosmos, which is represented by the arch of burning flames. This dance is for the purpose of releasing men from the illusionary idea of the “self” and the surrounding physical world.

This hand-made, bronze sculpture was hand made by the South Indian artists. Shiva in this statue is seen in a striking pose. He wears a skull on his head, with goddess Ganga flowing and a snake coiling. This statue refers to a popular story on Shiva’s manifestation in the Pine Forest as a hermit.

  • Statue of Shiva standing on a Dwarf: This 18” bronze statue of Lord Shiva shows Shiva with four arms and standing on a dwarf. Shiva is standing in the posture similar to the Vinadhara style. His front two hands are shown free, and one hand holds an axe and the other holds a deer. The holding of the deer portrays how Shiva is the lord of the animals “pashupati”.
